Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical-Nuclear Engineer for our HQ located in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Participate actively to the design of various reactor components and systems;
  • Technical project leadership; architecting role, task definition and coordination with colleagues;
  • Technical and project coordination interfacing with customers, partners and suppliers;
  • Sparring with and mentoring of colleagues;
  • Participate in strategic development and innovation activities at group and company level.

Requirements

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering;
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in nuclear industry;
Good understanding of SSCs and nuclear safety;
Good working knowledge of nuclear codes and standards such as ASME III and RCC-MRx;
Experience/participation in project management (e.g. PMI’s PMP framework or similar) is an asset;
Experience in robotic / remote handling engineering is an asset but not mandatory;
Excellent communication skills;
Strong command (i.e., around a B2/C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) of both written and oral English;
Command of the French or Dutch language is an asset but not mandatory;
Excellent work structuring, organization and coordination skills;
Personal drive to excellence;
Team-player mindset; knowing when to ask or give help, wanting to win as a collective;
A rudimentary sense of humor, and ability and interest to work pragmatically are essential traits;
Able to work at company HQ in Noordwijk NL (we offer a hybrid working scenario, with several days/week in the office, and several days/week at home) as well as at EU customer premises;
Candidates must be eligible to work in EU.
