Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support in a Microsoft based workplace;
  • Evaluating, categorizing, logging users requests, problems and pro-actively follow up these requests to ensure timely resolution of the delivery and deployment of new workstations (PCs / laptops) and maintenance and replacement of existing workstations, as well as other systems like mobile devices and printers;
  • Maintain, update and integrate Knowledge Base DB, procedures and working instructions;
  • Assisting and advising the user community in the technical and functional use of the Clients Corporate services and applications;
  • Experience in Telephony (Alcatel-Lucent);
  • Patching PBX (patching cables between PBX and patch panel);
  • Supporting analogue lines currently present at Site not passing through the PABX and ISDN lines;
  • On-site stock management- patch cords, connectors, PBX line;
  • Local dial DB update;
  • Ticket management;
  • Troubleshooting aimed to fix incidents/issues;
  • Add / Moves / Remove extensions and related cabling on PABX side;
  • Configuration of group / hunt group and chief/secretary phone setups;
  • Extension and Voice-Mail Configuration on PBX;
  • PABX cabling patching;
  • Experience with Videoconference (Polycom) technologies;
  • Local Support for VC Endpoint Devices (Centrally managed);
  • Support for Back-End infrastructure activities that cannot be performed remotely;
  • Check physical connection (power network);
  • Physical Hard reboots;
  • Manage on-site Spare VC equipment and deployment;
  • Inventory Management limited to providing asset information to the central team;
  • Experience with LAN (Cisco):;
  • Service Request activities related to LAN devices (installation. Move, replacement, decommission);
  • Patching between LAN devices;
  • Switches/Routers rack mounting and powering;
  • Support to Local surveys when required;
  • Wireless LAN (Cisco) experience;
  • Move, Add, Change of ceiling-mounted Access Points.

Requirements

  • Technical background or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (or similar subject);
  • Relevant work experience with different levels of seniority will be considered;
  • Proven professional experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on either Windows systems and on mobile platforms;
  • One or more Microsoft professional certifications, such as MCITP, MCTS, MCSA, MCP is consider an asset;
  • Good knowledge of wired and wireless networking, knowledge of data-center related activities;
  • Experience in Video Conference and analogue/digital Telephony;
  • Experience with Cisco devices;
  • Work experience in an international environment is considered an advantage;
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside regular office hours and availability to go on business trips;
  • Excellent communication skills (written, interpersonal, negotiation and telephone communications) are crucial;
  • Sense of initiative and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Proactive attitude to solving problems;
  • Service orientation;
  • A very good working knowledge of spoken and written English is a distinctive advantage;
  • Proactive and customer-focused mind-set.
