    For one of our customers in Barcelona, Spain, we are currently recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Technologies Engineer to join their Remote handling and Diagnostic teams.

Fusion for Energy (F4E) is the European Unions Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy. The organisation was created under the Euratom Treaty by a decision of the Council of the European Union in order to meet three objectives:F4E is responsible for providing Europes contribution to ITER, the worlds largest scientific partnership that aims to demonstrate fusion as a viable and sustainable source of energy. ITER brings together seven parties that represent half of the worlds population the EU, Russia, Japan, China, India, South Korea and the United States.F4E also supports fusion research and development initiatives through the Broader Approach Agreement, signed with Japan a fusion energy partnership which will last for 10 years.Ultimately, F4E will contribute towards the construction of demonstration fusion reactors.F4E is established for a period of 35 years from 19 April 2007 and is located in Barcelona, Spain.

For one of our customers in Barcelona, Spain, we are currently recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Technologies Engineer to join their Remote handling and Diagnostic teams.


Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Follow-up of manufacturing technologies;
  • Follow-up of design activities;
  • Review of deliverables.In charge of reviewing all UT related documentation (pWDP and WDP);
  • Attend the UT related qualifications at Supplier premises;
  • Analyze the CB design from UT perspective;
  • During production check UT inspection reports and attend some UT inspections at Supplier premises (critical inspections).

Requirements

  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant subject;
  • Experience in non-destructive testing procedures, including ultrasonic testing and/or radiography;
  • Experience in the definition and qualification of joining techniques for mechanical components manufactured in materials such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum, etc.;
  • Experience in the verification of weld design and/or material compliance with codes and standards;
  • NDT UT Level 3 certification;
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing and/or testing of engineering systems to be used in high vacuum conditions;
  • Frequent business travel is involved, so willing/able to do so;
  • Experience in at least one manufacturing process of mechanical components (forming, forging, rolling, machining, assembly, etc.);
  • Experience in manufacturing and UT inspection of SS components (Phase array UT of SS weld).
