I am a Structural Engineer for ATG SpaceLabs, mainly as a member of the Composites team. We develop a new type of ultralight and efficient structure for launchers and satellites, using a carbon-fibre composite grid-stiffened concept.
I used to work for a very large company, which contrasts a lot with the innovation mindset I find here at ATG. In addition, the atmosphere is open and relaxed and makes it very easy to integrate and feel comfortable.
The friendly colleagues, the international and dynamic atmosphere as well as the variety of projects I work on all match my own personality. In fact, my position gives me many opportunities to get involved in all the phases of engineering, design and manufacturing of challenging projects where teamwork is always present, and this has always been my ambition. I also like to be active besides work, and I recently started evening Dutch classes as a part of my training together with swing dance classes which I follow in the city centre of Leiden.
